If we do not give any option freeze or float... then what will be the next option???
In UPSEE counseling you have three options Float, Freeze or Slide. After first round completion, you have to select either to freeze the course and college you are allocated or you can float/slide. Floating will give you a better seat if available in the next rounds, if you do not get a better seat then your first round seat will be given. You can also choose slide which will give you a better seat in the same college if available, if it is not available ten you retain the first round seat. Decide wisely.
Dear ,
You are given 3 options basically:
1. Freeze: If you are satisfied with the presently allotted seat and does not want to be considered for upgradation of seat in any subsequent rounds of counselling, is required to opt for the FREEZE option. The registration fee submitted by the candidate shall be adjusted against Institute fee at the time of admission in the Allotted Institute of the candidate.
2.Float: If you want to confirm the seat presently allotted to and also at the same time wants to be considered for upgradation of seat in the 2nd Round of counselling on the basis of his/her already filled choices, is required to opt for the FLOAT option.
3. Withdraw: If you are not satisfied with the presently allotted seat to him/her and does not want to be considered for allotment in any subsequent rounds of counselling, should opt for the WITHDRAW option. The candidates, who opt this WITHDRAW option, will be treated to have withdrawn from the ALL the remaining rounds of counselling (1 to 5) and he will be able to participate only in the SPOT round of counselling.
So you can go for the last option if you don't want to freeze or float.
Hope this helps!
