IIST is one of the institutes like IITs that promote engineering courses and what distinguishes them from the others is the presence of courses that are mostly going in hand with space science. After your class 12, you can get to IIST through JEE. You can refer to https://www.iist.ac.in/admissions/undergraduate for JEE and other details. Admission requires Indian citizenship, DOB after 1 October 1994, 75% marks in class 12.
