hey!!! Both are same dear,Institute Of Bioinformatics And Biotechnology (IBB), Pune was established in 2002. The college is an autonomous institute with an affiliation to the University of Pune. It is approved by University Grants Commission (U.G.C). The College offers Post Graduate courses and Ph.D. in Biotechnology. The main focus areas for research are metabolic disorders, biofilms, drug development, environmental biotechnology and bioenergy. Every year, IBB conducts an open entrance exam to select new admissions from students who have completed their XII Std.IBB main vision is to achieve excellence at the global level in research in Bioinformatics and Biotechnology. The Department of Biotechnology, Savitribai Phule Pune University (University with potential for excellence)  offers a two year M.Sc. Biotechnology Course supported by the Department of Biotechnology(DBT), Government of India. It also offers M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in Biotechnology and related areas. This department since its inception emphasizes on appointing and inculcating meritorious faculty in various specialised branches in Biotechnology. The faculty members have been excellent teachers and research scientists, and most of them are fellows of National Academies. They are members of various National Committees, and task force of various National funding agencies.
