Bachelors in Science Students cannot give the GATE examination before they apply for a bachelors and Technology degree because a BTech degree is the minimum requirement for the GATE examination. If you want to appear for GATE so badly the best you can do as you have to spend in 3 more years in completing BTech degree and then and the appearing year you can appear for GATE that's the best that can happen.
