Can you please be secific which exam are you talking about? because it varies from exam to exam
you have exams ranging from 100 questions in 3 hrs to 100 questions in 1 hr.
Making your question more specific will be better.

See preferably for a 200 question 150 minute paper the best bet would be to go for 40-42 seconds per question. this will help you save time for any question tha you left or any kind of revisions. going for 45 seconds by the clock will be an extreme measure.

45 seconds per section it’s maximum time you should give because there are 200 questions .
