Both are important department of engineering. CS is computer science and IT is information technology. In both subjects you have to study basis of computer knowledge. In IT you have to design computer programme, computer software and applications also. In CS branch you have to website development, development the app, testing the software.

The main point is both are good in job opportunity in Maharashtra. So don't worry. Take any department one of them and study hard. You can find a good job easily.
