I think they offer online courses, and charge for the certification. The courses are good and boost your knowledge, but they are not sufficient for getting a job. They will surely add up to your certification lists, and is also valuable, but not that much to fetch you a job.

You may present the cerificate at the time of interviews, as well as during any presentations, as it will help you in getting promotions because it simply reflects your skills.

I think, getting a degree such that of Bachelors in Arts, etc.. would be more beneficial when considering job perspective.
