AIIMS Jodhpur, a publicly funded institution of higher learning, was founded in 2012. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India established six AIIMS as part of the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY). AIIMS Jodhpur is ranked fourth among all AIIMS colleges in India by the MCI. It is also ranked 16th in the medical category of the NIRF Rankings 2022.
