First of all please specify about which colleges you are talking about either mention it in your question or mark tags of those colleges or right now the best way is you comment below my answer so that I can tell you how the admission is done in those colleges other than the MAH-CET exam.

Assuming that you are talking about the colleges in Maharashtra then let me tell you by the earliest notification from DTE indicates that in this session 2018-19 admission, only the candidates who have taken CAT 2017, CMAT 2018, GMAT and MAHCET 2018 are eligible to participate in CAP 2018 for admission to MBA programmes in Maharashtra B-schools. 

And whichever exam's result (among the exam's mentioned above) you are using you will need to go through CAP round to take admission.
