According to the former eligibility criteria of DU LLB, candidates were needed to be 30 years of age and below as on the admission date, if applying for three-year LLB programmes. According to the Supreme Court order, vide date, March 3, 2017 which puts a stay on BCI age bar policy, DU LLB aspirants can now fill the application form irrespective of their maximum age. In other words, there is no maximum age for filling DU LLB application form 2017. Earlier, Bar Council of India (BCI) had modified the age norms for DU LLB admissions. According to the former eligibility criteria of DU LLB, candidates were needed to be 30 years of age and below as on the admission date, if applying for three-year LLB programmes. The SC, ST and OBC candidates were given a relaxation of five years on the upper age limit as on the same date, according to DU LLB 2017 eligibility prescribed by BCI. However, now this age criteria for DU LLB 2017 is void and null.
