Though biotech is believed to be the flourishing field but in India scopes are limited, that too when you go for higher education.

But IIT being the prestigious institution, can get you placed with a good package, it is still adviced to further go for higher studies too in biotech from IIT if possible, as it will increase your chances of a better placement.
