Hello Candidate,

EWS stands for Economically weaker sections of the society which comes under the General Category. So, it's also referred simply as GEN-EWS. This category has a special quota of seats reserved for the students, who come under this category.

EWS Category Quota is applicable for all Government Colleges in the country such as IIITs, AIMS,NITs, IIITs, and other Government Funded State colleges and Medical colleges too.

There is no such reservation in Private colleges for EWS Quota, as different private colleges follow different rules, so all of them donot have special Reservation.
