It depends that where your interest lies. You will get pretty good opportunities in mining sector and will easily get placed in PSUs like Coal India, etc.

Also, Since IIT KGP is a premier institute, you will have options to sit for non-tech companies like ZS associates, Fractal Analytics, etc. in the campus itself.

But if your interest doesn't lie in the mining sector then I would recommend to go for some.other branch or some other college.
