Yeah, Anant you may change the branch after 1st year but that also have some criteria like your CGPA should be more than 8.5 or 8.0 it depends and should not have any back in both the sem of 1st year then only they will transfer your branch but not the campus.
According to my point of view you should not go with this idea of changing the branch because in such case if you can't able to score good cgpa in your 1st year then you are no longer to be eligible to change the branch then at that point you may feel the difficulty. So better go with that branch only which you originally want to take.
