Candidates who wish to enrol in the two-year MTech programme at IIIT Pune must first pass the GATE exam. They should have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant subject. Apart from that, they should have a GATE scorecard. Admission is obtained through college-based counselling of students who have applied for the programme.
