See it is a complete out of the box career option but also it provides you with various new job opportunities.Many students are offered jobs in places of tourism or in any social platform which are in need of these languages.Students are quite good placed in companies from JNU and also get chance in some renowned companies like Facebook Genpack etc.Since it is a new language there will not be a shortage of jobs.Moreover the infrastructure of thre college is good and the faculty members are helpful and help the students  a lot.

Nothing wrong with pursuing your studies for a BA Hons degree in Pashto. But if you are planning to be a language expert, you will have to study further for a Masters or even a PhD in the subject. As to job prospects, if you search various job sites, probably the minimum vacancies you will come across will be for a Pashto language expert. On the brighter side you might get recruited by CIA (no kidding) or any other such agency of US Federal Govt. and the competition will not be cut throat provided you excel i your field. In case you want to learn a foreign language for brightening your job prospects, probably Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German or even French could be a better bet simply because these are the places where major technological breakthroughs are happening and collaborations are being entered into.

Studying B.A (Hons) in Pastho Language is actually a very unique course to pursue with. There are 2 aspects in this. If you want to be a language expert, then you have to build up your career in doing Masters or even PhD in this subject. So, you can make your way through the CIA or any other US Federal Government. Or if you are learning this language just for your knowledge, you can but try to concentrate more on other Industry Growing Languages such as French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, etc,.
