Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE) is a prestigious privately-funded deemed-to-be university in the Virudhunagar district of Tamil Nadu. It was initially known as Kalasalingam University but dropped the 'university' from its name after receiving recognition by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2017. The academy has gained an 'A' Grade ranking from the NAAC and holds accreditation from the NBA as per Washington Accord. It extends more than 100 courses approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and the National Board of Accreditation.

Very few companies visit Kalasalingam University. IBM is the main one, and the remaining companies are small start-ups. TCS, Wipro, etc., companies don't even come here. IBM offers few jobs. Internships in our university are good with few start-ups.

GITAM Institute of Science is a constituent college of GITAM (Deemed to be University) located in Visakhapatnam. It is recognized by the UGC and research partnered with prestigious national organizations like Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC).

GITAM Institute of Science, Visakhapatnam provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses under 9  departments which are Mathematics, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Physics, Microbiology and FST (Food Science & Technology), and English. The institute provides a total of 47 courses which include BSc, BEM, BCA, MSc, MPhil, MCA, Ph.D., etc.

Many students were placed in the best companies. Many students have better career chances, and all students are doing well after graduating from our university. There are also many internships in top companies.
