Narula Institute of Technology and BP Poddar Institute of Engineering and Management both are top rated private Engineering colleges of West Bengal. However, Narula Institute of Technology is no more affiliated to State Technical Board or MAKAUT, it has been autonomous under JIS Group and BP Poddar is affiliated to MAKAUT. Apart from this, the placement record is bit good in Narula Institute of Technology. Earlier BP Poddar Institute of Engineering and Management was  good in placements but last few years' placement record was not so impressive. Rather than BP Poddar, Narula has offered better placement in last few years. Companies such as BYJU'S, Zensar Tech, Zycus, Poornima Technology, Infosys, Jaro Education, Extramarks, TCG Digital etc have recruited students from this college. Highest package was offered by BYJU'S i.e. 10 LPA. The placement percentage has been increased too.
