hi,

see jamia milia islamia has no admission for lateral entry students, i.e diploma pass candidates to admission in b.tech course. to admission in JMI for b.tech course you need to appear in jee main exam and also need to fill admission form of JMI, diploma engineering pass candidates are eligible to appear in jee main exam, so you have to start the b.tech course from first year of studies at JMI.

Do you know any other state/government universities that offers lateral entry for diploma candidates directly into btech second year.

JASEEM A P M well, there is state wise lateral entry entrance test held every year to admission in government or private colleges. you may participate for maharastra state counselling of diploma passed candidates, college is allotted based on score secured in diploma course . you may follow the brochure of last year to know in details:
