Just I want to be straight, and when compare to remaining branches chances are less for getting placements of students opted chemical engineering branch. And now, it's been changing in some colleges, if you're really passionate about your branch learn from basics, they'll definitely make you to land on a good job, not only depend upon placements because world is full of opportunities now.

In general (applicable for most of the  colleges), placements aren't very good for chemical engineering. In most of the cases,  people end up with software job or non-tech jobs like business analyst, etc.
