Dear aspirant,

There are 3 National eligibility test

1. CSIR NET

2. UGC NET

3.ICAR NET

CSIR NET is conducted by CSIR.

UGC NET is conducted by NTA.

CSIR NET is designed only for science stream. Whereas, UGC NET is designed for all other courses in India.

Since you belong to science stream so to be eligible for JRF you have to qualify CSIR NET.

Requirements for appearing in CSIR NET are:

1 . Candidate should hold the degree in B.Tech or BS or B pharma.

2. Age limit for general and OBC is 28. For SC/ST /PWD it is 33.

3. There is no maximum age limit in lectureship.

After qualifying CSIR NET candidates can be appointed in projects as JRF or SRF after 2 years experience.

After qualifying CSIR NET candidates can work under  CSIR research lab .
