Usict is considered the premier college for engineering in IPU because of these features.

• The Government tag.
• Less Fee .
• Best hostel facility of all engineering colleges in delhi, except IIT-D.(I have lived in the hostels of all premier engineering colleges of delhi for almost 15+ days each)
• Infrastructure is best among IPU.
• Well, i would say that on academic front we don't really go for rot learning, hence USICT don't produce academic toppers, But yes we do produce best all-rounders.
• Placement is not one of  the best among IPU only, we need to work upon this factor.
• Nevertheless since it's a trend by toppers to go for Usict, the  crowd is always good. But let me tell you the other part of story, other guys aren't far behind us. So any college in ipu can become as good as USICT.

Frankly speaking, on the basis of trend it is considered as premier engineering college of IPU, the way IIT-B tops IIT lists, BITS-P tops BITS list, NIT-W tops the NIT list.
