Yes, you can ask for 3rd preference also. But it depends on number of seats available in Petroleum Engineering course. Also, according to your preferences you have got your 2nd preference, then it's good. But if you want to go for 3rd, you can ask for it, but don't leave seat in It without getting confirmation for Petroleum Engineering.
