KCET does not give any reservation on the basis of Linguistic minority, so it is not available on the application form. Linguistic minority is simply based on the language spoken and these entrance exams do not provide any linguistic minority quotas. Also, linguistic minority is not base on any caste or religion. 

KCET provides the following reservation categories :

• Based on candidates belonging to SC, ST and OBC under categories 1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B , physically diisabled and defence categories

The reservation criteria is as given below:

• Rural candidates - 15% of government seats
• Kannada medium - 5% of government seats
• Jammu and Kashmir candidates - 1 seat in every college
• Defence personnel of Karnataka origin - 10% seats in all colleges
• Supernumerary category - 5% seats in all colleges
