MHTCET portal converted me into open category from Reserved (SC) category as i was unable to submit the caste validity. So if i get seat through open category then i have to pay open category fees or reserved(SC) fees.

Hello,

If you have been alotted an open category seat you are supposed to pay fees fro open category only. Your fees would not be given the benefit of reserved category then.

But in rare cases if the alloted college has a vacancy for reserved seat and you have the caste validity certificate you might request the college management to reduce the fees and alot you the reserved vacant seat.

if not you have to pay the fees as per open category only.

Hope that answers your question.
