Anyone can get any branch at any rank in VIT.

I don't mean to dishearten you but yes, for any rank above 20,000, the question “which branch will I get/should I take?” holds no meaning.

Above 20,000 rank you'll pay higher fees as compared to those who secured lower ranks. At ranks > 20,000, the fee structure is nearly the same as it is for the students getting into through the management quota.

And if you can pay (approx) 20 lacs in 4 years, you have the liberty to choose the branch of your choice.

Gist is, worry about the branch only if you get a rank below 20k.
