I would like to inform you that with a ranking of 3000 in West Bengal Joint Entrance  Examination under SC category , getting a decent government college and that too getting a decent branch seems to be slightly difficult. The cutoffs are almost less than the mentioned rank for all top branches of engineering.

Congratulations! It is a pretty decent score! There won’t be much chances for getting into a government college with this rank, for that the ranks have to be exceptionally good. However there are a lot of private funded and government affiliated colleges in and around the state, whose seats are filled via WBJEE counselling. As per your SC category rank and last year cutoff there is a chance of you to get seat in the following government colleges -

2. Heritage institute of Technology, kolkata
3. Maulana abul kalam azad university of technology, kolkata
4. Kalyani government engineering college, nadia
5. St Thomas college of engineering and technology, kolkata
6. Swami vivekananda institute of science and technology, kolkata

8. Netaji subhas open university, Kolkata
