Mahendrabhai Shah if you want to pursue your graduation in engineering stream from a top college then you need to have a very good score in the engineering competitive exams like JEE Mains, JEE Advanced, state exams like GUJCET. Without scoring good marks there is no chance of getting admission in any of the top colleges.

If you really want to become an engineer then I will highly recommend you to prepare one more year for these exams without any tension of board exams instead of doing B.Sc this year. One year drop will not at all matter if you work very hard with full determination for a whole year and end up in a top engineering college. This one-year preparation can make out your whole career so instead of going in low college start your preparations, if you are able to do very well then not only NITs you can clear JEE Mains exam and can also look for admission in the premier colleges of our country like IITs via JEE Advanced examination.

Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!

Mahendrabhai you can do BSc along with JEE Preparation but I will not at all recommend you to do it because if you don't prepare for JEE with your full focus on it then you will again to score in it. Even after 2-years full preparation, students fail to clear JEE exam so preparing it for doing B.Sc will be almost impossible. You need to take one side either B.Sc or JEE preparation.

Hello ,

The first thing is that if you are preparing to drop for one year it shall be solely based on your confidence level. You have to think wisely whether you can devote the things and time needed for jee perparation.

If you are going for Bsc the thing is that you will get cutoff from technical field .However if your future aim is to go in goernment jobs like Ias ,SSc etc then it is also not a bad option provided you work hard for the exams you are planning to write in future.
