Sorry,but your rank is very poor to get a good NIT college.You can only get a college if you belongs to a reserved category.There is no chance that you get any centralised college based on your general rank.So,i recommend you to look towards state govt. colleges as these are also not bad to start your engineering career.I would say that if you can prepare for one year more then go for a drop.Butopt this only if you can do hard work and can handle the stress of coaching.Hope this helps.

After going through previous cut off trends of all the nits I regret to inform you that the probablity of you securing a seat in an nit is very unlikely as your rank is high. I would suggest you to weigh your options carefully considering your perfomance in state entrance examinations before coming to a decision.
