So, I'm sorry to tell you, that your rank is very high for getting a seat in the top NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, belonging to general category, because you will be knowing that they have a really tight cutoff, being the best colleges in India.But the fact that you are from Assam, you have a benefit of attending the CSAB NUET, as they prioritize students belonging to north eastern states, with some other eligibility criteria. Although the seats are limited there, and are purely merit based, you can still try out for that.
