Hello.aspirant,

According to the official website of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development), the Admission Eligibility Criteria for IITs, NITs, IIITs & CFTIs have been revised, particularly for SC and ST students.
The website states, For the candidates to qualify for admission in the IITs/NITs/ IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE ranks, they should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12thclass exam, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12thclass exam conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12thclass exam. Earlier SC/ST students had to secure 70% for admissions.
