Sorry to dishearten you. Not possible . The closing rank even for category is given on the basis of GMR/PMR that is General Merit Rank.So suppose you are a general candidate, to get CSE in Jadavpur University the closing rank was (GMR rank 153) in 2017. But if you are a OBC-NCL category the closing rank required was GMR 784(general merit rank not your obc rank) .

considering your obc-a rank and comparing the civil cutoff of jadavpur university ; you have high chances of getting  a seat in it . 2017 civil cutoff in jadavpur university was , 6411.
