• Well, no one can give you the exact cutoff, it varies every year. Also, it depends on the category quota. For B.E / B. Tech course, the cut-off mark required for a seat in P.S.G. College of Technology is pretty much on the higher side. As per your choice of department, EEE is highly competitive and you have to get more than 199, cut-offs depend on your community also. Branches like CSE, IT, CIVIL need marks above 198, and the remaining departments requires 196 or above. This is just a broad idea of the cutoff you have to get somewhere near to it to get the desired branch.
• Any department in PSG tech is worth choosing since the placement packages would be only on college basis. So any Dept would be fine, in your case ECE is the Dept where all the top rank holders of 12th board & 100% cutoff holders would present. ECE department has its own pride in delivering the unique engineers included among entrepreneurs, teaching professionals, managers, scientists and administrators at the highest levels in their respective fields.
• The campus placement is really the best thing here. In no order, the core companies step into the campus for picking the best of best engineers from the college. The companies included are like Robert Bosch, Qualcomm, Cisco, Tata ELXSI, Intel, Caterpillar, Nvidia, Texas Instruments, HP, ZohoSamsung R & D, Analog Devices, Juniper, NetApp and many other IT companies.
