Yes, you are required to select the TFW option at WBJEE counselling in order to avail the Tuition Fee Waiver scheme. If you have a valid TFW certificate, it will not be considered unless you choose the TFW category while filling the options. Likewise, the TFW certificate will only be checked at physical verification if you opted for TFW in the counselling form. Thus, if you do not select it you will not be allotted a seat under TFW.

If you did not select the TFW option during WBJEE counselling, then you cannot claim the TFW seat later even if you have the certificate. Only students who opt for TFW during choice filling are considered under that quota. Showing the certificate at physical verification will not help unless you have selected the TFW option while filling choices.
