In IIT Kharagpur, there is a MSc-Ph.D Dual Degree program,in which admission is possible through the Joint Enterance test for MSc (IIT-JAM).A certain CGPA, decided by the institute,has to be scored in the fourth semester of the MSc. to be enrolled in the further Ph.D program.It can be the student's decision also to not coninue the program after completion of his/her MSc. This program is available in 5 subjects namely;
1.Chemistry
2.Geophysics
3.Geology
4.Mathematics
5.Physics
For MS. and Ph.D program, an admission test by the institute is organized by the institute.
For the 5 year integerated MSc. program, JEE exam has to be qualified with a good score.
There is no other post doctoral program available in science in IIT Kharagpur.
