Yes you can definitely get admission in some centres of nift.since you are from genral category ,so will be able to appear for the councelling process only on the basis of your common merit rank.your category merit rank will do no good to you.you can also apply for second and third rounds of councelling.you might land up in a better nift centre.

Hello rohan with this rank its tough to get admission in top nift campus as you're from Genral category but there's chances you'll get admission in new nift campuses. There are total A total of 2,370 seats are allocated in B.Des and B.F.Tech programmes that are offered across 16 campuses of NIFT.
As not every one take admission for the same who got the opportunity so there's chances you'll get admission.
