Please tell me about which mathematics book i should buy for 1st year btech mech engg. Im studying in jadavpur university

Hello Dear

See,  since you are in the first year so in that I don't think so you are required any extra book apart from the University syllabus you can go with the university curriculum only unless if the management doesn't provide you with any of the book then in such case you can go with the options like : Basics of Mathematics of engineering from any of the renowned author which is the option across every student studying in the first year will be the good option.

First of all you should know all engineering department students have to study same subjects and from same books whether it is mechanical,electrical etc.

Books of mathematics are:

Engineering Mathematics by H.K Dass

Advanced Engineering Mathematics by E-Krezysig

These two books of mathematics will always help you.
