i would recommend you first concentrate on NCERT books in order to prepare for chemistry subject , NCERT is considered as best books as most of question being asked straight from that book .apart from NCERT here i am recommending you some more books which you can read and make your preparation more good
1. modern approach to chemical calculations by R.C mukherjee - this book is best for solving physical chemistry numericals
2. organic chemistry by O.P tandon - this books has excellent explanation
3. concept of physical chemistry by P.bahadur - has excellent explanation and good quality questions
4. concise inorganic chemistry by J.D lee - best for inorganic chemistry
5. physical chemistry by P.W atkins - use to practice questions
6. organic chemistry by morrison and boyd
