After cracking NEET UG with good marks you must choose a good medical college like,

1) All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi

2) Christian Medical College, Tamil Nadu

3) National Institute of Mental Health & Neuro Sciences, Bangalore

4) St. John's Medical College, Karnataka

5) Madras Medical College & Government General Hospital, Chennai

If you are considering being a neurosurgeon in India;

First, you need an MBBS degree, it takes 4.5 years of study plus one year of internship to complete the MBBS degree.

Then you can go for MS in General Surgery. An MS takes 3 years to complete.

After finishing MS, you will need to do an MCh degree in Neurosurgery. MCh is basically super-speciality. It takes 3 years to finish.

Or you can go for integrated MS-MCh degree in Neurosurgery. The integrated degree takes 5-6 years to finish.

This is the path to become a neurosurgeon in India -

• Crack NEET UG
• Get into a medical college
• Finish your Mbbs degree
• Crack Medical PG Entrance ( NEXT )
• Get into MS General Surgery or two colleges offer complete 6 year course ( AIIMS and Nimhans )

If you get into the six year course, you'll be a neurosurgeon by the end of it.

If you get into MS General Surgery, after completing that you need to crak NEET SS and then get into M.Ch Neurosurgery.
