There's no such thing as lateral entry in case of MBBS, if you want to pursue it you have to appear for NEET for which eligibility is passed 10+2 with Physics,Chemistry Biology/Biotechnology,English from a recognized board, those having biology as additional subjects too can apply, in addition to this your PCB aggregate (inclusive of theory and practical) should be 50% in case you belong to General Category, for SC/ST/OBC it's 40%. As of now there's no upper age limit, hence no limitations in number of attempts.
