A rank above 30000 is not considered good in VIT exam and it'll be really hard for you to get admission in VIT campuses with 79000 rank. I'll suggest to prepare hard again for the next year and try to score good rank or you can take admission in other colleges like Amity University.

Don't worry about anything now as if you are capable you will be amazing in every college, so if you don't want to drop a year then take admission where you are getting and study hard in that and gain each and every required skill.
