sir, I had joined a college for pursuing a course in bsc but dropped out midterm IE didn't appear for semesters resulting in a discontinuation, having said so which code should I opt for code 3 or code 5; plz help me decide

If you have discontinued on your own without taking a proper TC from the current college, you will be still considered to be in your B.Sc first year in which case your code will be 05. But if you have taken your TC and formally closed all the process of studying B.Sc, then your highest qualification will remain 12th. In such case your code will be 03.
