Hie Sunita,

It will be very difficult to get a seat in a government college. This year, there is an expected rise in the cut offs. The competition in West Bengal is quite vigorous. Last year (2017), Candidates belonging to the first 200 state ranks also had AIR among 5,000s for West Bengal. This implies that WB Test takers are highly competitive. For General Category, you must score a minimum of 550 marks to ensure a seat. Getting into a private college may also prove to be difficult. However, please don't loose hope. Keep your options open. Please remember, this is not the absolute dictum and ultimately, it will depend on your percentile. All the very best!

Hi Sunita,

480-485 is a lower moderate marks for UR category. this falls into the average marks category which is why competition will be very high. however, there is a small chance of getting a MBBS seat. if not mbbs , bds seat is more likely. Wait for the results and hope for the best.

Hope this helped. all the best.
