Since you are a student of Polytechnic inorder to do the B.Tech from the IIT kanpur , you need to write the JEE MAINS examination and after qualified it you can be eligible for it through which you can be able to JEE ADVANCE based upon the category wise cuttoff and branch wise cuttoff you can be able to enter into IIT premises as a class 12th passed candidates.
