It is difficult to get core branch in bits mesra with this rank.

You have a chance to get non core branch ( chemical ; polymer etc.) in spot round on basis of your OBC rank but very less chances.

You need to secure rank under 30-35 thousand ( vary according to branch ) .

You should look for some other option .

I would like to inform that there is no quota for OBC-NCL quota in BIT Mesra for other state students. However, they do separate counselling for BC1 and BC2 for home state students. So, if you are a home state student, then there are high chances of getting a seat in BIT Mesra. Otherwise, there are slight chances. However, you can get the benfit of OBC-NCL are get other good colleges also, may be in NITs too. To check the list the colleges you are eligible for, you can use college predictor.
