Hello aspirant,
To get a job after completion of diploma in mechanical engineering, examination is conducted by RRB. It is the best way to secure a job. After this there will be interview and physical standard exam, after qualification in both of these you can become a loco pilot. Also, through UPSC you can become a loco pilot.
