Hi there LPU offers B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture programme that is approved by ICAR . It produces graduates with broad understating of Agriculture and allied science with broad understanding of agriculture related problems and got expertise through well planned on-field implementation, basic concepts in disease, insect pest, weeds and nutrient disorders to enhance the production .

The eligibility criteria is -

Qualifying LPUNEST and Pass with 60% aggregate marks in:
(a) 10+2 or Intermediate (with English*, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry)
OR
(b) 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) with English
OR
(c) 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent

Note: The minimum age to take admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture is 16 years.

The programme fees per semester is 1,20,000 INR which will be reduced after qualifying LPUNEST test in order to fulfill the eligibility criteria . Its not an entrance but scholarship test too . The programme specific outcomes are -

• Impart knowledge and understanding of fundamental concepts of crop production, its management and need for sustainable development
• Develop the ability to know farming practices and their scope to improve in the rural areas and the environments.
• Apply knowledge of basic science through Agricultural microbiology, Plant biochemistry and Biotechnology.
• Apply knowledge of Agri. - business management and finance to develop profitable agricultural system.
