Institute of Engineering and Management is among the top private Engineering colleges of Bengal and the placements of IEM Is pretty impressive. While it has been ranked at 191 position by NIRF among Engineering colleges of India.

UEM and IEM are under the same governing body. The only difference is that IEM is affiliated to the state technical board, while UEM is an autonomous University. The course fee is more in UEM as its an autonomous University. Apart from this, there is no such difference. Till now UEM has not received any remarkable ranking in national level.
