Traditionally people who want to pursue technical branches like IT or CS or EXTC opt for Science field in the 11th and 12th and then by giving entrance exams they take admission in an engineering college. But you being in the commerce field it has a lot of limitations for you to join in a course like IT. You can apply for the course of B.SC - IT after commerce but there are not many colleges, as many of them require P. C. M as the subjects in 12th grade.
