It depends on the college ... If you are in a good college or studying abroad .. the chance of placement is high .

That's not true it depends on how you study and how well you prerform and how good your portfolio is.

So according to you a iitian and a student from any state university  having same gpa . Both of them will get same placement ... The reputation of college also plays a role in placememts .
